Another Time, Another Place
I am currently working with Blue Coat Junior School based in Walsall, UK, on a major new project that focuses on the personal stories of evacuation from 1939, linking to the present day, exploring the complex decisions facing families in times of war and civil disruption. The project also explore contemporary aspects of migration with some of the parents of the pupils. Working alongside artist Brendan Jackson, the teachers and all of the year 6 pupils, we are in the process creating a series of ten short films, a publication, and an installation of ten suitcases creatively re-worked to reflect the many elements of the project.
Funding by the Heritage Lottery Fund and managed my Nicky Dupays, the project will be exhibited in July 2013.
