In Britain there is a rich ocean of local groups that bring together many different people and engage in a seemingly endless range of pursuits and interests. This new video installation celebrates the beauty and passion of some of these groups that are based in the West Midlands. June 2010
A sound, light and video installation based around the reflections of twelve participants who discuss the place of spirituality in their own lives. The participants are influenced by faiths and traditions that include Christianity, Buddhism, Taoism, Atheism, and Bahai. 2007
This collaborative project with artist Bobby Bird is an interactive sound and light installation that explores the theme of love through the words of seven participants. The installation comprises of seven suspended orbs, each housing a hi-fidelity speaker, a blue light source and a proximity sensor that allow for audience interaction.
60 suspended speakers, each with a small blue light attached, surround three circular pools of water. In the pools a video image is projected whilst the whisper of voices reverberate throughout the space. Produced while Artist in Residence at Durham Cathedral 2000 – 2001
The audience are invited to enter a darkened space that contains 60 empty light sockets suspended in the air. The audience participate by choosing a bulb from a box, make an inscription on its surface and insert it into an empty light socket, illuminating the personal message. 2005
Produced as part of a year-long residency at Jubilee Arts, West Bromwich, Elders is a dynamic light and sound installation based up perceptions of aging and wisdom. 2003
Perfect World is a project that explores diverse perspectives around themes that are central to social life – globalisation, war, love and perfection. Participants from different backgrounds were invited to reflect aspects of our complex society through recorded conversations.
Kindle Theatre directed this site-specific show to explore modes of multidisciplinary performance, visual and fine arts, and design and architecture with site-specific research. The project combined photography, film, light installation, willow sculpture, electro-acoustic sound, built structures and performance poetry to create a vibrant and dynamic context for the performance

- Commissioned artists devise seven participatory art projects in response to The Galton Valley area of the West Midlands, during January – April 2004. The project culminated in a celebratory weekend during April 2004, and was developed in collaboration with The Public and British Waterways.
A collaborative installation with sonic artist Annie Mahtani that explores perceptions of the Black Country using sound and image. Through a circle of 6 speakers local people speak of their own sense of belonging to the area. These voices are combined with a ever-changing soundtrack and large scale colour imagery.
An interactive CD-ROM and installation produced whilst artist in residence at the VR and Innovation Centre, University of Teesside in 1998-9. It is based upon the recorded conversations of 25 participants combined with video and sound, it attempts to reflect upon a rapidly changing social landscape.
